Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

The official list below shows time periods that are reserved not confirmed exams. Check with your instructor if a course has its final exam within this time.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Check out the individual exam pages for more details about exam topics, exam conditions and conditions, and additional guidelines. The Faculty Dashboard in Workday offers an option to "View My Teaching Schedule", which allows faculty to discover their exam schedules. Registration


The exam schedule is accessible on the internet, and students are advised to look it up. However, it is important to keep in mind that the final exam schedule can alter at any moment. Students should therefore inquire with their instructors for the exact time and date of their exam. Students should be sure to print the official list and bring it with them to their exam.

Students must also familiarize themselves with the guidelines and conditions of the exam in addition to the exam schedule. They are available on the website for each exam. Students acknowledge having read and agree to the terms and conditions upon registration.

Exam sites make every effort to accommodate participants who have special needs. The nature and severity of these needs should be noted on the registration form and confirmed by an attestation from a doctor. The locations of the exam must respect and maintain confidentiality.

If students are scheduled to take three exams on the same day, they should contact their instructor or department to arrange for a make-up test. While it is possible to take three exams in a single day, it can cause high stress levels and could affect the quality of the exam. Additionally, the professor may not be able to offer a makeup exam on another day.

Before taking the test Students must prepare for the exam by studying their syllabus and practice their German skills. The test is a test on paper that assesses the ability to speak, read, and write in German. The test results are presented using a scale ranging from A1 to C2. Students who pass the exam receive a Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies the achievement of language level A1. This level corresponds to the first level of the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free of cost. Students must bring a valid government issued ID to the test. Anyone who does not have an ID with a valid photo will be disqualified from the exam.

Fees

If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to be awarded the Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you'll need to pay the exam fee. This is in addition to the cost of the course.

Practice assessments provide you with an overview of the format, wording and level of questions on the exam. They allow you to assess your knowledge level, find areas of knowledge that aren't covered and increase your chances of passing the exam.

Please take note that the fee for exams is non-refundable. Exam results can only by electronically sent, not via phone.
